Ekaterina Semenyuk, Ph.D., RBP (ABSA)

Ekaterina is a dedicated molecular biologist with nearly two decades of experience in biotechnology and molecular microbiology research. In 2019, she joined the Biosafety Team at the University of Southern California as a Biosafety Specialist. Since then, she has taken on roles as a Laboratory Safety and Biosafety Officer in Contract Research Organizations and specialized consulting firms. Ekaterina is passionate about risk assessment, safety program development, and training, and she works to create safer research environments for organizations. She is a Registered Biosafety Professional, recognized by the American Biological Safety Association (ABSA), and also holds a certificate in Clinical Trial Design and Management.

Heidi Page, MS RBP (ABSA)

Heidi brings over 15 years of experience in biosafety to her work. Her background includes seven years as a research virologist, extensive experience with Institutional Biosafety Committees (IBCs), and building biosafety programs from the ground up. She has a broad range of Biosafety and general Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) experience, including vivarium and high-containment laboratory oversight, as the Biosafety Officer/ Assistant Director of EHS for Case Western Reserve University. In addition to her 17 years’ experience in academia, she has supported biotech, biopharma and CROs during her tenure with Sabai Global. Heidi has a particular interest in biosafety education and training and supporting clinical research start-ups in the biotherapeutics field. She approaches all challenges with a focus on finding effective solutions.
